Checking your Meal Account activity

There are only a few differences between staff meal accounts and student meal accounts. The biggest difference is that staff must request a meal account. Student meal accounts are automatically set up when they register.

Staff members access their meal account information through Infinite Campus – Employee Self Service – My Food Service. In My Food Service you can see what charges have posted to your account this school year, you can make a payment, and you can set up recurring payments.

Parents and students access student meal account information through Infinite Campus – Parent Portal. From there they can see what charges have posted to the student’s account, they can make a payment, and they can set up recurring payments.

There is no fee for making an online payment. Secretaries can check account balances but cannot access account activity. Secretaries can take card, check or cash payments. Secretaries can also take Household Payments.

Kitchen staff can take cash or checks but they cannot see account balances. We do not make change for students.

So let’s get down to the details.

Log in to Infinite Campus. Open Employee Self Service and then My Food Service.

From here you can look at all of the transactions on your meal account, pay into your account, and add payment methods.

To see your transaction history click on the arrow next to the balance. You can select to see anywhere from the last week’s transactions to the entire school year. You can’t see prior years. If you have a question about prior years, please contact me or the Finance Clerk, Sheryl Houchins.

To make a payment click the Pay button. The Amount column displays. Enter the amount you want to add in the Amount field. If a box is unavailable for you to enter an amount, your account may not be active and you may need to contact us. Click Add to Cart. Select My Cart. The Checkout Screen displays. Select the Payment Method you want to use and enter an Email Address for Receipt (optional).

On the right you can also access My Accounts. Here you can see the payment methods you’ve saved, payment history and any recurring payments you’ve set up. Recurring payments are very easy to set up. You can choose from several frequencies, any amount, and add a start and end date.

So that’s all there is to it. The process is the same with student meal accounts. Parents access the very same screens through the Parent Portal. Students in Grades 7 – 12 also have access on their Student Portal.

If you get a question from a parent or student regarding meal accounts – whether checking to see what was charged, or making a payment, you can refer them to me or Sheryl Houchins.

Parents can also use this link for instructions:  www.bsd44.org/school-nutrition-home. You can also share this graphic with them.

This is a picture with the words ADD FUNDS TO SCHOOL MEAL ACCOUNTS and instructions on ways to pay and a reference to www.bsd44.org/school-nutrition-home for more information. Ways to pare are cash, check, credit card in the school office or online through Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

The Meal Lineup

Our New Menu Options

This year we added easy to remember names to our lunch options. It’s one more way we’re giving students choice, variety, and fresh options to help fuel the rest of their day.  Students across Belgrade Schools can choose the lunch option that works best for their day. Different choices, same goal: giving students a balanced, satisfying meal that helps fuel learning, activities, and the rest of their day.

Panther Plate – our traditional school meal, made up of an entrée, sides, vegetables and fruits.
Cub Combo – an alternate meal option with familiar student favorites, with the same sides, vegetables and fruits as the Panther Plate.
Prowler Pack – a convenient grab-and-go choice for students on the move, available grades 7-12.

Grades PK-4 can choose vegetable and fruit options from the Rainbow Bar, a daily selection of fresh, canned and/or frozen produce.

Students are encouraged to take as many items as they’d like. USDA requires us to offer a maximum of meat or meal alternatives and whole grain products. But there is no maximum to vegetables and fruits.

Grades 5-12 have access to salad bars, where they can load up on produce. Again, produce is unlimited.

When students have a say in what goes on their plate, they are more likely to choose items they will actually eat and enjoy.

Menus for all schools can be found on our online menu site https://menus.healthepro.com. Our menus now list all options available, as well as nutritional information for each menu item.

FREE AND REDUCED MEAL ELIGIBILITY

As a reminder, families can apply for free or reduced-price meals at any time during the school year. Once approved, the students remain eligible for the entire school year, even if circumstances change. It is easy to apply via the Parent Portal, or families can contact us for paper applications. Applications and instructions are available in English and Spanish.
This is a graphic titled COMPLETE A FREE/REDUCED MEAL APPLICATION with instructions to visit the district website of Infinite Campus Parent Portal for the online application.

BELGRADE SCHOOL DISTRICT ANGEL FUND

The Angel Fund bridges the gap for K-12 students with unpaid school meal balances, ensuring no child has to learn while hungry. By providing essential financial relief, this initiative guarantees that all students, regardless of their family’s financial situation, can focus on their studies without the distraction of food insecurity.
